The definition of trust is “assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone; one in which confidence is placed.” Trust is a tall order. When you hire a career coach, you place your confidence in the coach to help you find jobs, develop succession plans, gain promotions, and attain quality of life.
With every step we take together I want to be your trusted advisor. Coaching happens in a collaborative relationship based on mutual trust with a high degree of openness between both parties. Creating a strong foundation of trust is the first step in building every coaching relationship. Before a coach can find ways to help a client change patterns in their life, the coach needs to build a helping and caring relationship with their client. Clients need to know that their coach cares about them and their successes and has taken the time and effort to truly understand them.At a foundational level, I create trust by:
